Greetings from nz! I have a little kubota tractor with a charging problem and I was hoping you could give me some advice about it please. All the information I've found online is for the complete opposite! It still has it original generator..not an alternator, wen the engine isn't running the charge light is OFF wen I Rev it up the charge light comes ON, idle it again charge light go OFF again. It's wired negative ground. Lil bit confused. It appears a reg fault off the bat but a man likes to do his homework first. It appears to be an odd problem on the basis that all the info online is for the charge light ON at idle.... hope you can point me on the right track

Hi . I hope you are well. I had a question for you. As you are a car electrician, in which country do you work? I would like to know what your duties are in the country where you work.

Automotive Electricians diagnose and repair systems Mechanics struggle to do themselves. It takes at least 10 years experience to become competent, not including your time as an apprentice. I was a Certified Automotive Electrician for 25 years, enjoyed it while I was in but switched to the IT industry after completing an Bachelor of Information Technology, never looked back and made far more money than I ever did as a tradie. Great job but poorly paid for the skill level required IMO. Another thing apprentices also need experienced tradesmen to learn from, and that in itself is the real reason for the trades shortage.

Any.nuff nuff can use a multimeter, even an oscilloscope is not a stretch for the layman. But if a car really has a problem with a bad connector or a break in a wiring loom can a student of yours realy find the fault.. i mean. Come on, norhing beats years of experience with different makes and models and knowing where they fail. Learning how to use a multimeter and a bit of ohms law surely doesnt make you an auto electrician??
