Thank you for this clarification. I was lost in class and watching your video I can see what my professor was talking about. I wish you can show a more complicated equation with a root square or a something like ( 5 sin x [0, 2pi] ) I was lost in class with this one.

I am confused on why the result differs to Wolfram alpha, which says the value is 5.

I have been taught to find the mean value using the intergral formula, I dont understand why I am given too different results.

for being continuous it should be f(a)=f(b) but there it is f(-1)=-1 and f(3)=27 how in hell it is continuous ?
