Talking to the President

In which John discusses his forthcoming google+ discussion with Barack Obama, who is the President of the United States of America. John also discusses how social interactions like this are inherently uncomfortable and also talk about his anxiety, which at the moment of the filming of this video was focused on a cold sore.

You're right about never getting over talking/meeting people you admire. I'm a huge gamer, and went to a con, where I proceeded to, somehow beyond my knowledge, not just meet, but become friends with people who work on my favorite video game of all time (no idea how when I was so nervous), and then a good handful of them proceeded to follow me on twitter and now respond to my tweets and sometimes mention hanging out in the future. I should be ecstatic, yes? No, I hide from twitter now. :P

It's been a week and a half since I watched this video and I can say that I have been thinking about what the Yeti realized in 8th grade, and what I realized a week and a half ago, at least three times a day. That has changed my life. I can feel myself changing. Thank you Yeti and thank you John Green.

I believe some call it the 18-45-60 principle.  At 18, you worry about what every says and thinks about you (even if you don't admit it because that's not the "cool" thing to do), at 45, you stop caring what everyone thinks about you and at 60, you realize they were never thinking about you, just themselves, all along.

I only saw you in tumblr gifs so far, so when I started watching your videos right now... it was a shock. Your voice is SO much different that I thought it would be! It's deeper, and you talk faster and it's just oh my god, I have to change the little voice in my head that reads your gifs now.
