👉 Learn how to multiply polynomials. To multiply polynomials, we use the distributive property. The distributive property is essential for multiplying polynomials. The distributive property is the use of each term of one of the polynomials to multiply all the terms of the other polynomial. After multiplying the polynomials, we then simplify the product by combining the like terms and evaluating (add or subtract) them. As we multiply polynomials with more and more terms we often lean on helpful tricks to help us keep the product organized and remember the steps such as FOIL and BOX METHOD.

I actually took time to sign in and comment, because this saved me so much stress and confusion. I'm more than a decade removed from high school but trying to improve my quant skills so that I can apply for a master's program. I remember CRYING because of calc when I was in high school, feeling like a complete idiot and failure. I just thought math was something I would never get. Fast forward to last year, I got an A in pre-calc, and through good instructors and channels like yours, I'm hoping I can get an A in calc this fall, too.

Tl;dr: If you're in high school reading this, don't give up on math. Just make sure to be patient with yourself and look for the resources that will help. Oh, and read A Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley!
