Pikachu EX has been a dominating deck since the very start. But now, with new supporting cards, there are some really interesting new builds.

Despite what I said in the video, because of how popular Gyarados is, the Zebstika build is probably the best one at the moment. Being able to snipe Magikarp before it has a chance to evolve is a game changer in that match-up!

A Pikachu deck variant that many people don't take into consideration is the one with Magneton and 140 dmg Raichu (with Lt. Surge of course). That build worked so good for me having Raichu as a second reliable source of damage thanks to Magneton and Surge. Pikachu weak point is it has low damage for healthier opponents, and Raichu can deal with that.

genuine question, why do you run 2 zebstrika with only one blitzle? all the other decks i'd seen used equal number of both stages so i genuinely wanted to know what's the reasoning behind the uneven ratios

New Raichu is kinda bad though. If you're gonna run Raichu, you might as well rune the OG one as a finisher, because 60 damage won't get you very far and the 20 on the bench can be negligible. If you want to hit the bench Zeb is a far better option imo.

Wouldn't dedenne be better than pincurchin in the zebstrika variant because of the one energy cost?
