I believe the Nigerian and Ghanaian Jollof rice was named after being inspired by the rice from the Wolof people. Benachin looks nothing like ‘Jollof’. I think there’s no comparison as Benachin is a different dish.

Our red rice isn't even really jollof. Jollof rice is what the Senegalese prepare because it is their dish. We just stole the name... recipe and ingredients aren't even similar, so I see no reason for comparison at all cus the basis for comparison is similarity.
