Essentially all you did was change the piping to remove the noise baffles. Changing the filter to a high flow like you did is really all that you needed to do, but then you wouldn’t get that sound you want. Idk where you live, but having that Intake so low in the front, you’ll be sucking up rain water that hits the pavement while driving, even from cars passing you etc.

you could as well get piping off ebay like they use for intercooling for turbo setups and such for not alot of money. and then just order a K&N filter

Just fyi, "intake" duct opening is too small and it does not have bellmouth. This setup is bigger restriction compared to OEM

It didn't make it slower, your car needs tuned. It's not 4" because it needs to hold some low end torque. Taking out your reservoir and making a pipe go straight up is a great way to hydro lock your engine.

But I noticed that intake noise got quiet which I’m a little disappointed and liked the deep tone. Did this happen to u too and did u notice better performance?

sucks man i’m in south carolina and my temps on my cold air on a normal day (90’f) it averages around 100-87 depending on how much air i’m giving it
