Bangladesh has achieved an unprecedented victory today. Only the victims know how difficult it is to take power from a fascist, a dictator. But we didn't back down, our people didn't get scared, we got it after a bloody movement. Yes, we students of Bangladesh never lost, , , students never lose✊ Thanks all of you for supporting us 🙏

So, I think there is a large misunderstanding of the political situation of Bangladesh among Indians. The election we had was in 2008, every election after that was rigged. Yes, Sheikh Hasina did well economically but it rarely translated to improvement in quality of life among the general public. This is not the first unnecessary massacre Sheikh Hasina has commited, freedom of speech was non existent, during even the slightest dissent communications would be cut, corruption was so rampant that Sheikh Hasina herself admitted a entry level worker at the palace had amassed a fortune of 40 million USD. A country could not simply continue as such. The current protests started quite peacefully, myself an Engineering student in a public institution thought it was rather tame and aimless, all changed when when the government needlessly started killing protestors giving pace to the then weak movement. In the coming days many things happened, too much to go through in a comment but basically this was not a Coup d'état. The military simply understood that they couldn't just shoot thousands in the streets. As such the military fulfilled the demands. In the coming hours Chief of staff Wakar Uz Zaman has promised an interim government after speaking to opposition parties and all political parties have reacted positively including BNP ( the most popular political party ). There is a sense of anarchy, many hindu brothers and sisters have been attacked, which I am deeply ashamed of but I hope that things will stabilize and we will stand with our hindu brothers and sisters as they are an integral part of Bengali society.

...If she had waited a little longer in the town hall, I would have been met, but you ran away. Without telling anyone, he ran away with his sister and put the leaders and activists in danger. I think his long political results are zero. In the end, he had to flee the country in the face of mass agitation. There is not even 1 person who will speak for Awami League in the space of just 1 day. Shame on Sheikh Hasina, shame on him. The autocrat did not leave Ershad and his supporters and run away like this. Sheikh Hachina considered his life important, but his stubbornness took the lives of thousands of brilliant students of the country. It is a dictatorship. He wanted to fall like this. With Sheikh Hashina, many accounts of freedom-seeking people remain.
