Dear Pinaki:
Is it best to inject CO2, only during the photo-period? It is my understanding that plants can only utilize it, when photosynthesizing. I speculate that injecting CO2, while the lights are off, may encourage algae. I was injecting CO2, 24/7, for the first, few weeks. The plants are growing quickly, but there is also a lot of fluffy, brownish algae on the hardscape and plants, which is easily removed, with a brush. I often see this type of algae, in a new set-up and it tends to die off, in time.
