Animal Crossing will be historic because it launched when Covid-19 was starting to shut things down in the U.S. It allows people to be in control in a world that is spiraling out of control with no end in sight for the foreseeable future. The online, social aspect allows people to be together without being together physically, too. It's also a relaxing game with no real consequences that focuses on cooperative building (versus competitive destruction). This theme also resonates with people more than ever during these uncertain times, too. When historians look back on this life-altering era, I hope they acknowledge Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and how it had a very positive & real impact on those stuck in quarantine who were wanting a sense of normalcy & routine in their lives.

It’s pretty crazy I bought my daughter this game she is only 7 and as she played I became interested. I love gaming and would of never thought I’d be putting a lot of hrs in lol the only thing I don’t like is you can only have one island and one main person so me and my daughter switched roles so I could do the hard stuff and get stuff set up. Definitely having fun

The Dodos at the airport are named Orville and Wilbur. This led me to believe that they were named after the Wright Brothers, Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright who apparently are the ones that created the first ever motor-operated airplane. 🤯
