I have a depressive disorder and I love animal crossing it is just so relaxing and gives me a break from real life

the reviewer is wrong when talking about tools breaking on the random islands. there is a DIY workbench right there so you can craft whatever you need. just bring resources with you or just harvest some from the island..

I think that the minor annoyances are what make it animal crossings. It's meant to feel like real life. Things break and tasks take time to complete. It teaches patience and forces the player to slow down.

It becomes more grindy than previous versions because you need a lot of iron ore, and the only way to get enough is to repeatedly go to the Nook Miles reward islands, which are extremely watered down compared to the larger one in New leaf that allowed scuba diving and a basket to load up on a ton of stuff. I also don't see a lot of new bugs and fish in general, and have yet to see the kind of rare beetles found on the Island in New Leaf. I have yet to see even a shark or something that valuable. The islanders themselves don't seem to give any quests like they did in New Leaf and only rarely will give you a random gift, reducing the incentive to talk to them. The need to use iron ore on most of the large projects means I barely even want to waste it on better tools, which means dealing with the ones that constantly break. It also took a lot longer before getting some good furniture, and I had to resort to using fish tanks as counter space. Those are the main negatives I've seen so far. Maybe I need to reach new milestones or wait for a patch for more good stuff.

One thing that annoys me is the wood, you have normal wood, soft wood and hard wood, OK so 3 wood types and you think there could be 3 different types of trees...no and that's the problem because when I've been crafting and I need normal wood, the trees just give me more hard and soft wood than just normal wood and I tend to get quite annoyed with that. There should be different types of trees for each wood material not all 3 in one. I wouldn't mind the crafting if the wood weren't that much of annoyance.

Nothing is wrong with the tools breaking. The game is all about resource procurement and management. If your tools didn't break every once in a while you would never feel the same kind of pressure when managing your resources. Especially on excursions to other islands.

Stardew valley has not a durability mechanic. The tools last forever, opposite to what the reviewer says in the video.

Sth he didn't mention which I find quite annoying is that the tools take up space in your pocket. I've been playing AC since wild world and that's always something that annoyed me... it takes so much space (especially now cuz you have new tools) it always gets in the way... I wish they had done the pockets like in ACPC where they can contain 300 insects/fishes and then the resources are in a seperate compartment. However I'd not want ACNH to, like ACPC, not be able to change your tools whenever you want.
Inventory wise I really wanted them to balance ACNL and ACPC 😭😭

I know acnh is not og but I believe it is the best game. There are more freedoms, it is more beautiful, the pro designs are more detailed and there are more things to make, you can design your furniture, you can decorate outdoors, and so much more

i haven’t encountered that my pick axe got broken on stardew valley, i played for about 50hrs on that game. Only there are certain tools you can’t use for specific items, that requires an upgrade of your tools.

Idk if people realize it, but you can build new tools on the island with it's own resources. Just don't break essential resource harvesting tools before you harvest said resources or else you'll have to give up the nookie..

Me and Mrs are in self-isolation. If it wasn’t for Animal crossing. We could’ve gone insane.

This is this reviewers first animal crossing game. Hes talking about durability like he never got the gold tools in the previous animal crossing games

I mean yeah tools breaking is annoying but it's a mechanic to keep you interested. I would appreciate a durability bar though.

The multiplayer is horrible and needs to be patched. There is several issues with the multiplayer for non-representative resident players. They are severely limited in progressing the game. The non-RR character is:
-Unable to unlock the DIY recipes required to furnish villager homes that the representative player has
-Lacks access to purchasing items from the catalog that the representative player has bought/unlocked, which isn’t the case for the rep resident
-cannot use or unlock emotes
-cannot increase relationship with villagers
-the non-RR is unable to progress in the game beyond what the representative player has made that day

The second player serves almost no purpose. If you share an island and are the non-RR character, you’re screwed and essentially pointless. It needs to be patched

No comment about the completely broken multiplayer?
