Who is this iPad for:
- Doctors and nurses
- Home inspectors
- Realtors
- Students who deal with small desks
- Construction to view blueprints
- Aviation
- Power readers who don’t want all the weight of a book
- and other professions not listed

I utilize the mini for work as a companion, since I already have a main computer at home for heavier, lifting.

I like how you took the effort to prove jelly scrolling is gone for latest model and not just relying on just a casual look.

Getting mine tomorrow. Upgrading from the 2019 5th Gen.

Thanks for the content.

This is hands down the best iPad mini A17 Pro review I've seen. Thank you for addressing the jelly scroll (with convincing video proof) AND the heat of the A17 Pro in the mini. No one else I've seen has mentioned that. A huge relief!

I’ve been using iPad minis since the first one. When the first iPad Pro came out in 2015, I really fell in love with the iPad mini as my second device. I’m a historian and writer, and I love the iPad mini as my reading and research device. I travel a lot around the world, so I love having this little device for reading epubs, Kindle books, or PDFs. I even have a little portable bluetooth keyboard for a quick and light writing machine.

I use the mini 6 almost on a daily basis for work. I go out and talk to people a lot, not wanting to carry notebooks around anymore but still preferring to write things down instead of typing (feel a bit more personal), I use the mini and pencil 2 a lot. That why I'm quite disappointed that now, if I do want to get the mini 7, I have to spend money regardless on either a worst pen (USB-C) or a pen that's just as expensive as the one I have that's still perfectly fine. So ya, a lot of note taking with the pencil, organising my notes, basic emailing, reading and simple doodling as stress relief. I'm such an avid user of the mini that this update feels super underwhelming because it really is the bare minimum that apple could have done...

This is why your channel is one of the best Apple centric channels around, Christopher. For one, you didn’t jump on the “this upgrade sucks bandwagon” when the Mini 7 was announced. Two, you took the time to demonstrate that the jelly scrolling was fixed. And three, you stated “this may not be the iPad that everyone needs.” I use my 12.9 Pro for daily work, but love my Mini for emails, text, media consumption, taking notes, etc. Since I have the Mini 6 and it serves my needs just fine, I won’t upgrade right away. Keep up the good work!

I'm a photographer and will use my iPad Mini for at least two situations. On the one hand, if I'm doing photojournalistic stuff and an assignment is very dynamic (e.g. a protest), then on the one hand I want to be as light as possible on the move and on the other hand I want to edit and send my pictures directly on site and on the fly. Another use case are shootings, where I like to give important people like the make-up artist a live review of my pictures so that something can be changed if necessary.

I run my business from my mini, help manage a 501(c)3 youth organization, consume media, and I also use it as a navigation tool in my jeep and for streaming music (almost like a CarPlay setup). It comes with me everywhere.

I loved my larger iPad but the mini is the perfect size for me to throw in a small backpack and go. All of my work is in the cloud so I’m able to access my schedule, run payroll, answer emails, whatever from my mini.

THANK YOU for giving us a thorough update/review on the jelly scroll issue. And I'm honestly a bit shocked at how many people say they considered it a non-issue, when it was the sole reason I returned my Mini 6 THE VERY SAME DAY I purchased it back in 2021.

Jelly scrolling is NOT gone. It is very much still there, just is less visible

I started with the iPad Mini 5 and skipped the 6, I'm like 90% sure I'm gonna get the 7. I use it daily for media consumption and smaller productivity work. I sometimes edit 4k 60 gameplay footage from my xbox and used to edit a podcast on it using Ferrite. At one point I exported all of my projects from the iPad Pro to the mini 5, and basically had my mini rendering and uploading video while I continued working on new videos on my iPad Pro.

I am a Motion Graphic Designer so I may just be hyper-sensitive to it, but the "Jelly Scroll" is still slightly there. Definitely improved, but I can still see it. I owned the Mini 6 and could see it right away, but over time you sorta forget about it and don't notice it unless you look for it.

Though I don't think the issue has been "fixed", I imagine that the new Mini's improvement will just make it a bit more unnoticeable in person.

I’m a daily commuter and the iPad mini 6 was perfect for me.. this upgrade works for me and I can’t wait to upgrade today!

If it was 120hz OLED and could run stage manager, I'd use it as my main computer. Like you said, an ipad mini pro is what I want.

I legit use my Mini as my phone, basically because its more enjoyable watching content. Honestly once you get used to its not that unwieldy. For the record im the type of guy if the small bottle of coke is the same price as the big one, im going big.... and going to enjoy the diabetes with it lol.

Please fix the captions. A trick I use is to split every sentence into new lines in the script, then let YouTube sync it to the audio automatically.

Can you test if there is jelly scrolling when the iPad is in landscape mode? Because it was said that Apple would fix jelly scrolling by "rotating" the display hardware (not sure how to explain this) and so in theory it was assumed that jelly scrolling would be visible in landscape mode. Thanks in advance for your reply and thanks for the review! :)
