David Coulthard gets it wrong. Checo has done everything for team, for Verstappen, he constantly jeopardizes himself in favor of Verstappen. He never asked to be number 1. Just like 2 or 3 times he asked to be favored because Verstappen was way on the top. Really unfair of everything to think Checo is snubby and selfish

I don't think checo will leave RB or that RB wants him out, I think that Hörner is much clever than that,
What horner wants is to take DR out of the possibility joining a direct competitor (mercedes) because DR knows too much about RB and in the same time it will be a way to say to checo (hey be careful, I have a spare driver)

All depends on how pissed off Max is. Do not discount the clout he has in the team, and he could easily be F1 champion for a number of years to come. Horner ain't gonna mess with that, although in the end I think drivers and fans alike would lose respect for Max if he was responsible for kicking Checo out of the team. In the end I believe they'll growl at each other but figure out how to make it work. Senna and Prost hated each other, but one year together won 15 of 16 races. In the end I'm betting Checo stays.

Max will be #1 driver for RB until he leaves F1. Agreement arranged by Marko. Father Jos was connected to Michael Schumacher and Max is raised and trained in this style.

Like most people, I've seen saying: If RB is trying to replace Checo behind the scenes with DR, then this is a large downgrade. DR is aggressive and would put Max in a spot that he has not been in a while. Max loses the defensive masterclass that Perez can casually drop giving him the easy win. (Not saying Max can't defend but it's just not common to see Max defend at all.)

I just hope that perez finds a place on the grid even if red bull backstab him. To be honest, it may do him good just like bottas in alfa Romeo. Not everything is about winning, a healthy atmosphere in the team is also important

Not a chance Riccardo has always been a #2. Driver on the other hand Perez for the majority of his career has been a #1 driver with perspective team. If verstapen pushes Perez out then he’ll never win another championship again see he needs a teammate that will disrupt grid position 1-4 in between russel Hamilton. Riccardo can’t even beat his own teammate. Letting Perez go would be a huge mistake

I fully believe that Red Bull is about to shoot themselves in the foot with this move.
They’re going to constantly hold DR over checos head, which will inevitably lead to checo making mistakes.
They will swap checo and Daniel thinking oh yeah here we go
Then they will realize that Daniel is selfish and will be trying to challenge max, he won’t play the team game like Checo, max will throw a fit because now he has a challenge instead of backup, then DR will be exposed again that he just doesn’t have the speed anymore
After all of this Red Bull will be back to that revolving 2nd seat again.

The red bulls are a different car with the ground effects Era we are in. I don't think it will be like hopping back in and he's back to his old RB form. But he can learn. RB has very difficult cars to drive. They're fast but difficult. Max's style either matches their build, or he just adapts to it very well. Regardless, others have found out for themselves just how difficult of a car it is to drive and aren't as close to Max as they should be.

load of crap the only comment from RB i heard about this is Perez is not going anywhere as he is contracted until end of 2024... i honestly believe Max missed Danny R in the team and as a team mate .. Max is very powerful in the team and has a lot of clout and this is why DR did not take up other vacant sears .. i think this has been planned since July .. Sergio better watch his back though as one more fight or statement towards Max and he will be shafted .. my opinion only

Redbull would have to be high on weed from Mars to let go of checo who has given redbull, it's best result in almost a decade.
Also I don't see Riccardo doing even half of what checo has done for max.
And as a driver he is down in the dirt. His confidence after those years in McLaren would be camouflage at best.

Stupid media spreading rumours! Anyway here is the downside if Checo is replaced,
1. Max can’t defend by his own and will face stiff competition from both Mercs and Ferraris
2. DR will not score that many points as Checo did this year 100% sure I already to bet my money on that
3. DR will not play wingman for he also considers himself senior
4. Max will have more DNFs than he had this year because he will not drive peacefully anymore without a Checo
5. RB will lose for sure constructors and very much possible also Srivers championship because Lewis and Mercs have almost the gaps and with more upgrades coming next year and RB facing budget cap they might lose both championships
