I do my best to make this "antenna", could be anything for that matter, sound great. I am tryig to make you believe that you need to buy one! Glowing reports from ham radio reviewers don't exist and neither does this device. This review is a fake and so is the product. Even though it is awful, I make it sounds perfect. Have you seen reviews like this?

I was a Navy Seal and we used these on our submarines. We attached them to the prop for circular polarization.

The WTF-1 would work significantly better if fed through LMAO-550 high gain coax.

Nice Jim, that was pretty entertaining. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the down thumbs are from reviewers and peddlers of such products. Unfortunately these products and reviews exist in all categories these days.

Have you ever had problems with it letting the smoke out during long tune-up sessions on 80 or 20 meters? Also, I need a dummy load; will this double as one if I don't connect the wire? Last question: how is it mounted on a rotor?

Ha, ha, ha, he said "hermetically sealed container." Now that's a blast from the past...

I used to have a manual antenna tuner that had a similar matching unit built into one of the antenna switch positions. When it was in that position, you could even disconnect all coax and wires and still get a 1 to 1 match! Amazing stuff! So thrilled to see something like this in an extremely portable form factor!

Also, it's nice to see some satire out here. Bravo.

I like that Jim, fun video and I know what you mean about some of those reviews also. Now you need to do a review on the product that will insert the smoke back into electronic components if you let it out, ha... 73...Larry

Just $ 599.95 plus free shipping---- but wait that's not all, if you order right now we will throw in an extra 25 feet of coax. Fun video !

I'm holding out for the Legal Limit phased array contest model....lol. I can't remember the name of the unit sold in the 1980s that was nothing more than a swamping resistor...

I remember talking with you about this over coffee at Valentina's. I'm glad you got a chance to make the video! Take care and I hope all goes well with your health.

I was just lamenting the extremely large corral of ham radio Youtube "yes men". I don't know if it's simple indifference, ignorance, or an overwhelming desire for free merchandise but I'd PAY to see a ham channel entitled "Ham Radio Products to Avoid"

This is what happens when you dumb down the technical education of amateur radio operators… just like the rest of the population of the USA !!!

I have an older version; about the size of a gallon paint can.

Jim since you are familiar with this company please do a review on their amplifier. I’m attracted to its unbelievable stats. Weighs only 34 ounces, runs on 3 volts with just 2 rechargeable D batteries. And the 4 by 4 by 6 inch size is very ergonomic. So when it explodes putting out the 4500 watts they claim, it takes very little space in the landfill. A real selling point for me. And at only $439? I bought 4 and they threw in the series connection kit. Come to Daddy 18, 000 watts. I will lay waste to those nasty pileups!
Of course with the tiny dime sized meter it only goes to 1500 watts so you’re always legal.

WTF…. The video got cut off just as I was about to order. Did the cops show up at your door?

it's fancy talk for a dummy load... with a wire attached to it...

I own two of these for two of the mansions that I own. 1 in Beverly Hills and the other is underwater off the coast of Southern California. I use a 4 and 1/2 inch antenna and I have DXd all over the world. To at least 747 countries. All reporting S10 ratings with no interference whatsoever. Especially effective on 160m. Although I did have a 5000 mile DX using 100 milliwatts on 2 meters FM recently. Well worth the price at 17 times the asking price.

Finally an honest review! :) And I think I know which actual project (similarly priced) triggered this ;)
