NASA discusses landing the first-ever mission to study the heart of Mars. InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) will be the topic of this media briefing, which looks forward to the lander’s Nov. 26 arrival at the Red Planet.

InSight will study the deep interior of Mars to learn how all rocky planets, including Earth and its Moon, formed. The lander’s instruments include a seismometer to detect marsquakes and a probe to monitor the flow of heat in the planet's subsurface.

Briefing participants include:

· Lori Glaze, acting director of the Planetary Science Division, NASA Headquarters, Washington
· Bruce Banerdt, InSight principal investigator, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California
· Tom Hoffman, InSight project manager at JPL
· Sue Smrekar, InSight deputy principal investigator at JPL
· Jaime Singer, InSight instrument deployment lead at JPL

How do they know the Mole will go straight down, how do they know it will not hit a piece of solid rock (16 feet is along way down), and why is there no method to retrieve and move it? Anyhow; Best of Luck InSight.

How will the scientists distinguish between Mars quakes and any relatively nearby meteor impacts? The frequency should be greater on Mars than here.

The host like the United Federation of Planets showed kinda uniform fashion is flexible anyhow, really enjoyed, though cone equatorial cone at question time. It's a kind of already situation as it's automated and despite freak weather should touchdown. The rather maybe nervous perhaps being so close to the awesome space probe was really enjoyable too, again like maybe not so carbon units, it does have wax in the claw to release that is suprising easy seal similarity. All was clear without the necitty for all the descent, maybe one day the ideal chase sats can minaturise a camera beam laser powerful and fast enough , that's luxury for the dense perhaps.

It is very exciting indeed. However, you don’t need to behave like a commercial company executive launching a consumer product! Relax and let your natural excitement speak 😃
