How to set and achieve your goals in 2020
1. Envision. Start with a clear vision of what you want. (Health, career, relationships, personal growth, spirituality, creativity and adventure)
2. Write down the specific goals in each area. Start with the feeling eg glowy, security
Also focus on the why, it keeps you motivated. Try keep it in your sphere of control.
3. Prioritise the goals according to the impact of the goal. Make a plan on how you will achieve these goals.
4. Take action as soon as possible. Your power is in the now.
♦️Keep the promises you make to yourself.
♦️Work on your goals daily. Link with reward.
♦️Track your progress daily
♦️Accountability.

Don’t trick yourself. Make your goals attainable. As Aileen mentioned, if it’s less in your control and more “out of your control” then you may want to reconsider.

The WHY is crucial to sticking to your goals. Envisioning your highest self achieving a goal will definitely help.

Another tip: don't start January. Start your goal next month instead. That way you can bypass the initial novelty "feeling" that wears off after a few days-weeks and focus on the goal itself. If something is important to you start now.

I really hope 2020 brings some joy to my life. 2019 has been the worst year out of all my 17 years in this world bcoz i lost my dad a few months back :( and i have suffered sooo much that even at one point i was ao close to choose suicide but luckily i got help and now i just wish to get better!!! I don't want to go into that dark space ever againnn. I really hope i'll get better and find happiness...

I’ve already fallen off my goals for 2020 in the 2nd week of January, but starting Feb I made new goals or reframed them differently in my mind, so I hope to keep those up throughout the month. Annual goals are a little intimidating, so I like setting 30-49 day goals (if your goals are habits, 49 days is the length that best solidifies habits as routine).

These are great tips. Especially the part about tracking your actions throughout the year to actually achieve the goal. I also encourage everyone to think about the goals they are setting. Do the goals bring you joy? I've set so many goals based on the stuff I should be doing as opposed to the things that actually felt good to me. I appreciate you discussing "understanding your why".
