Mando: "Mandalorians value loyalty!"

Mandalorians: constantly trying to kill each other over petty shit.

It’s crazy to remember this was Boba Fett’s series

The outcome of this scene proved a point the Armourer made earlier in this episode. Paz Vizla’s sense of entitlement in owning the dark saber and struggle to even lift the blade when it was in his hands showed he was “undeserving” as the owner. Mando won this through pure combat proving to all those who doubted him that he is the rightful wielder. The stakes have risen now, particularly what fate has in store for Din Djarin and his place in history of Mandalore.

I like how after this they become like best buddies and he even avenges his death

I love how Din had a very hard time weighing the Darksaber because of him having to give up Grogu, but Paz is having an even harder time to even lift it

Is suicidal arrogance a genetic trait in Clan Vizsla or something?

Notice how paz tried to kill mando but mando clearly had no intention on killing paz

Din was physically and mentally exhausted after wielding the blade, and training with the armorer. Yet he still accepted the duel and won. Yeah Paz had no chance taking the blade from Din at all.

I imagine this won’t be the only time Din will be challenged

Funny how the armorer never makes a play for the darksaber. She has no interest in fighting for Mandalore as she more or less has given up on it and seeks only to preserve the way. The Saber to her is a distraction to what needs to be done. She still respects the creed and the way enough to give Din the direction he needs, but goes no further since it is not her fight. She's probably the most level headed of the Mandalorians since she literally couldn't care less.

The Vizla Clan is such a underrated part of star wars. Tarre Vizla was probably the strongest jedi of his era and Pre Vizla was one of the few who was a good opponent for Maul. Pre Vizla went out like a boss, in spite of being decapitated.

I love how after Din gave up his dark saber that people say “durrr well he never wanted it anyway so yeah makes sense for him to give it to Bo” meanwhile this entire scene shows he wants to keep it and his skill with it proves he can be the next ruler of Mandalore

In the moments where Paz really got the upper hand, you could see Mando had a little easier time swinging the saber because he would stop focussing on "fighting the blade" and rather his opponent, Paz.

Boba Fett.

Poor Paz. Did he not know arrogance was how his father had died? (Yeah Paz isn't really Pre's son but I don't think it should be a random member of clan Vizla, it should be a blood relative so it would be fitting if Paz was Pre's son)

The sound effects while they're fighting is crazy at 0:44

I honestly have a hard time believing that’s Jon Favreau voicing Paz. I mean I know it is, but damn he sounds so ruthless and gruff in this role, it’s so different than any other role I’ve seen him in (or rather, heard). It’s so distinguishable from Pre Vizsla as well.

Din is literally unstoppable until Filoni decides to put Bo Katan on screen. Din's skills tend to be so inconsistent.
