🎥 About This Video....
I while back I reviewed the brilliant tiny light meter from AstrHori the AH-M1.
Astrhori have upgraded the light meter which is slightly bigger called the XH-2.
In this video I try the new light meter out over at the sunflower field
with the Nikon F3, various lenses and the film I used was Ilford FP4. Now,
because of the slight wind I knew I needed a bit more speed from the film, so
I pushed the film 2 stops to 400! Not only would I get ore speed this push will
add a bit more grain and contrast to my photos.

GIVEAWAY!
I am going to give the ASTRHORI AH-M1 away in this video. To win it all you have to do is tell me in the comments (IN THIS VIDEO) what camera
did I pack to test out the ASTRHORI AH-M1 Light meter for that review!
Here is the video!
PS. I also hint in this video!

I remember when I got my first light meter. I had had camera's in the nineties as a kid. But mid 2010's I got a digital Nikon D5200. After studying abroad for a bit in Australia, I got a Mamiya m645 1000s from my grandfather that used to work for Kodak in the Netherlands. And with it came a Gossen Sixtar. It took me awhile to get used to it. Learned to read the light from it and my later sekonic to the point of not using any lightmeter anymore for just general day to day photography.

Only carry around a Sekonic spotmeter for when I want tometer for portraits and/or using the zone system.

Trees - where I live, they're simply a part of every landscape scene. The challenge here is to avoid a few random, scraggly branches in the foreground.

Thanks for posting, looks like you had a fun day out!

The camera you used in the earlier video was of course a Pentacon Six.
I usually use my small Gossen Digisix, but I can totally see the appeal of these tiny meters for use with meterless cameras.

Hi! You used the Pentacon Six. I started to watch your videos not a long time ago but I love to see how professionally you deal with film photography! Corngatulations for your channel and greetings from Hungary! :)

You used my first ever Medium Format Camera - the beast from the east, Pentacon Six. Lovely video as always, thanks for being so kind to give away your lightmeter :)

You used a Pentacon Six for the previous review.

Also, weirdly, a plane flew over my house when you were imitating the pilot in your video! It’s as if you’ve invented a new level of immersion 😆

Top vid, once again! Cheers!

You were using the very interesting Pentacon Six. I have continued to enjoy your videos, but I must confess this is the now the first time to finally subscribe. Anyway I have dusted off my old 1939 Rolleiflex 6x6... now to see what happens with the "Sunny 16 rule. Cheers! (Yes, I know that I reversed the "ei" in rollieman)... But I don't think I can change it now.

just bought one of these after watching this video :) I put it on top of my sony digital camera to sort out the ev as it was off quite a bit but they now match so threw it onto my yashica :)

Thanks for the demonstration of the Pentacon Six. Years ago in my 'Nikon or Nothing' days I passed on a mint $50 body. Yup... All the best to you!

You actually sold me on the AH-M1 (in your earlier video) although I can see why you might prefer the XH-2 with your brilliant lanyard hack! But the protruding XH-2 light meter would definitely be a royal pain used on my Nikkormat FTn & Pentax Spotmatic (plus a dozen other 35mm SLRs I will use it with). In fact I had to order accessory cold shoes for both the Spotmatic & Nikkormat so I can actually use the AstrHori as God intended. I am not sure I would call the XH-2 an "upgrade" perhaps "sidegrade" would be a better term? The XH-2 is, as you say, the same sensor with a smaller battery. Nice work mate!

You used a pentacon six! I just got into 6x6 myself earlier this year and am really enjoying it

You used the Astrhori AH-M1 with your Pentacon Six TL, a camera I own and use fairly regularly. Looking at the shape of the two meters I think I prefer the original.

Hey bud! Thanks for the review. I’m thinking about seriously getting one. By the way, the camera you packed was my new favorite camera that I’m using now the Nikon F3. I’m getting rid of my old FM. I will use the F3 for all my black-and-white work. Cheers.

Hi - you tested the ASTRHORI AH-M1 with a Pentacon 6 (a camera that’s still on my wish list.) Thanks for keeping these videos coming - they’re so useful!

I actually enjoyed re-watching the previous video where you use the pentagon six to test the Astrhori AH-M1. I shoot a lot of pinhole using an Ondo 135, Zero Image Zero 2000, and a Lensless Camera Company 4" x 5". I currently use my iPhone with the Pinhole Assist app but it's tiny metre like this would be a lot easier to carry around.

You packed a lovely beast - the Pentacon Six. I often use a Sekonic twinmate. Love your videos, keep them coming!
