In 1989, The 42-year-old "lady killer" was sentenced to capital punishment—a.k.a. the death penalty—in Florida after confessing to his murders. (And it wasn't even the first time: Bundy had been sentenced to death three times before he was finally executed.)

I can't believe they spread his ashes in the same spot where some of his victims were left. Some of the girls' remains were never found and now they lay there with Ted forever, that's sickening.

They should not have permitted Bundy's wish to have his ashes scattered in the Cascade Mountains where he murdered some of the women. It's disrespectful to all the victims everywhere and was Bundy's way of further insulting them and their families even after death.

He murdered a child, but refused to talk about it, evil to the core, that poor little girl

He couldn't eat because he was terrified and that's a very good thing indeed, his ashes needed flushed down the toilet.

That Pensacola police officer did not get enough credit. Saved many lives

Fun fact... Bundy turned down a 75 year sentence to plead guilty because he thought he was smarter than everyone. Guess not

I lived in Snowmass, Colorado when Bundy was captured by, and then escaped, the Pitkin County Sherrif’s Department in Aspen. The body of the woman he abducted in Snowmass had been found about a half mile from my apartment. She was found half buried in the snow on Owl Creek Road. Her name was Caryn Campbell. My best friend was a deputy and the department photographer and I, by accident, saw the pictures of her body that were taken at the scene. After Bundy escaped, we all lived in terror for awhile. There were roadblocks at every intersection and our cars were searched. He was found a couple of weeks later. He’d gone up Aspen mountain and had been hiding in old cabins up there. But while he was missing, everyone in town was terrified. It was 1975 and most of us girls had the same look, the same hairstyle, as all of his victims. I remember celebrating many years later when he was finally executed, as I had lived in fear of him. Never forgot, never will.

In a way, he got the final power, his ashes scattered where he dumped his murdered victims. This makes me damn SICK!!!

So basically he had no problem killing dozens of women, but was 'shocked' at the device that would kill him as if it was some exceptionally brutal thing.

Should not have honored his request to even be near where he destroyed those women’s lives.

While in High School in Washington State we had warnings about Ted Bundy from staff. My family often went to Lake Samamish, thats where Ted Bundy found several of his victims. I was happy to hear the law finally caught up with that monster.

I don't understand why all Serial Killers don't get the Death-Penalty. They should. Some get consecutive life-sentence's.

They say he looks like the boy next door, but in some still photos of him you see pure evil in his eyes. Same with Gacy, Ramirez, Dahmer, etc.

How could they meaningfully study a brain which had been cooked into mush by 5 amps of electricity for two minutes?
