That callback to "throw ME the ball! I want the ball!!!" that Jamie did is perfection.

I don’t know if I’ve ever cheered more for a fictional team…god this show is amazing.

Never thought someone saying “Barbecue Sauce” could bring me to tears but here we are. What a beautiful show

I like how Dr. Sharon’s true emotions come out when she’s “off the clock”. Shows how much she cares about those guys. When she was “on the clock” she was as all business. That lady did a great job playing her.

This game had everything from season 1 wrapped. The crowd chanting “wanker” (but not at Ted), George’s shorts, Nate’s decoy play, Sam hitting the winning goal, BBQ Sauce, Nate jumping into Ted’s arms, “The Dance”, and probably more that I forgot.

Fun Fact: The story where a football team got relegated in the 1st year, promoted the 2nd year and won the league in the 3rd year has been done before in real life. The german football team "1. FC Kaiserslautern" won the Bundesliga season 1997/98 under the exact same circumstances.

He finally understands the offside rule!

I loved Ted correctly recognising offside, Beard's stunned confusion and Roy's head nod of approval and look of respect to Ted that he called it. The checking of the fiver was hilarious cause even though I love Beard I would check any money he gave me.

The series finale is a masterclass on how to finish a show. All of the tie ins to the first episode and season are beautiful. You see how everyone's characters have developed over the course of the show. Honestly don't know if I've seen a better ending to a show

I think Doctor Jacob's reactions weren't a disdain for football but a sad realization that nothing he did could ever get that reaction from Michelle and Henry. He would always be in Ted's shadow. Given his ethical shortcomings it's hard to feel sorry for him.

One of my favorite parts is Ted taking the imaginary ESPY back from Nate and tossing it over his shoulder because his demonstration was done and it was no longer needed. Genius writing.

The dance at the end really brought his character full circle lmfao

I love how excited Nate is that it was "his play" that won them the game. The guy was just Manager for a Premier League team... where all the plays were his plays. But since Richmond is home and where his heart is, this one play means it all to him. This show is amazing!

My favorite thing about this show is that just like Ted. It came in, said what it wanted to say, and then ended. A perfect show.

Just noticed here that Ted says "Talk to me, Geese" to the coaches when they huddle up to figure out that trick play. Nice Top Gun reference.

I like how Dr. Sharon's role this season was "Jump on a bed in an empty room and pretend you're excited" 😂

This had me cheering like I was watching a real match! Bravo to the entire film crew, writers, & actors who made this series a reality. One of the best sports tv shows of all time!

I love how Jamie is using the Pass me the ball please routine that Ted thought him. He really deserves that Oscar / ESPY

"#14 was offside" was completely unexpected and so nicely done❤

I am also very happy for Mae. That actress played it to perfection, her jumping and celebrating the goal was beautiful to watch❤
