Great advice for women and men Joe. Have a zero tolerance for BS from men. I believe there are quality men out there. We as women have to set the standard for ourselves and not tolerate any bs.

I’m in a very long term relationship almost 2 decades.
I do all the cooking, cleaning, all the organising etc. I’m always open to sex and adventurous as well. I’m romantic and caring towards him, we have fun together and I support him 100% in everything. I don’t argue with him and I listen to him daily and also extremely loyal...he’s not a terrible partner by any means but he doesn’t really give me anything back apart from a few laughs and the occasional night out.
He falls asleep on the sofa early evening and just watches tele.
At times it’s like I live with an ornament that talks and comes to life maybe once a week.
In the bedroom he makes very little effort and it’s usually me having to do all the work.
I would love for him to be more ‘manly’ and take the lead and be more passionate now and again to make me feel really wanted and desired.
How can I get him to be this way?
I think because we’ve been together since we were 14 he hasn’t evolved within the relationship. He’s forgotten that I’m a fully grown women and that had he had just met me he’d be having to make a lot more effort emotionally and sexually then he did back dating me as a teenager.
I don’t want to break up I just want him to see me as a women that he needs to make effort to keep?!.
He’s way to comfortable with me and knows I’m loyal and won’t go anywhere. On the whole he’s nice to me but forgets I need passion.

Wow, this was mildly emotional. And know this is what I guess I needed to hear today.
As when my long term relationship was coming to an end ( more like me ending it and him wanting to go through that hurdle) .. He said would you like it if I treated you like shit instead. He was upset. ( I didn't really have much of reason why I wanted to end it or I couldn't give a reason why)
