The problem really isn't installing Winblows 11 on unsupported hardware. The REAL problem is will (or more likely when will) Microshaft stop providing winblows 11 updates to these unsupported hardware computers? That's the bigger issue.

I guess if you're stuck on an outdated version of windows 11, its not much worse than an outdated windows 10. Maybe have a linux partition or USB boot disk for your shopping and banking.
The tech industry acts like forcing you to upgrade your hardware is no big deal. But not everyone lives in the United States where there's an abundance of cheap computers.

I have done this many times. Rufus is the best way. 👍I like to open my Rufus USB from the desktop & install Windows 11 so I can upgrade without losing anything on my Windows 10 unsupported PC.

Good one Brian mate tis is just the method I used when I installed Windows 11 Pro onto my old Ivy Bridge build nearly two years ago and it works perfectly. Plus updates have so far not been a problem in fact they come through faster than they do on my newer main laptop but at the same time I think that anyone using this method should always backup their data to an external (or internal spinner) drive all the same.

I did this on my computer yesterday it worked, I used an SD card as my installation media and it worked I upgraded from Windows 10

I have been using this method since Rufus added the criteria bypass, I've never had any problems with installing Windows and have never had any problems with the Microsoft updates

Worked a treat on a acer E5-511, I updated hard drive to ssd also and had to flash bios as touchpad was missing in bios other than that perfect

Thank you but the crucial question is how can i modify the iso file without burn it in usb stick. Probably by editing the iso and replace all files with the on the usb ? I dont use usb sticks i just need the modified iso in order to build w11 virtual machines without the ms requirements on the virtual hardware layer

presssing alt +e in rufus will enable dual compatibility bios + uefi

if your pc doesn't allow for whatever reason still, use the windows 10 everything and replace the install.exe or wim to the win 11 one

Works fine until you do Windows updates and your install screws up. Highly recommend you dont run win11 on unsupported hardware unless you are prepared to lose your data. Ive seen it and repaired it many times.
