fun fact about the thief Meister abilities. the fake one he gives you that blows you up and lights you on fire can be combined with the second one to avoid the self harm entirely and just do a big attack that does a ton of damage.

For the mystic spearhand: you can also kill the dragon in melve when you return there for the fighter scroll. You can kill it by running straight to the balista tower in the back and shoot the dragon with the balista on top. It will try to escape but you can shoot it out of the sky. When it’s dead, you can loot an awesome weapon from it for the mystic spearhand and the vocation reacher will give you the needed scroll right after he gives you the vocation.

I put 1300 hours on the first game when it was ported to the Switch, so far the game has me hooked just like the first one did, obviously the low frames and lack of fov on PS5 are the only negatives, i love the vertical exploration and as a Assassin/Strider main i am loving playing as Thief. This is exactly what i wanted from the sequel

If you continued the quest before doing lennarts tasks, he will give you his master skill later on on vulcanic island in the bath

Apparently, if you don't win the duel against Beren your affinity will be a bit lower than required by the end of the quest line, so you need to either gift him something or do his escort quest to prompt him to give you the skill scroll. If he doesn't give it immediately, he should eventually move back to Borderwatch Outpost and he'll give it to you there.

For Sorcerer, you can find two grimoires in the Waterfall Cave near Melve, with one being a second copy of Nation's Death Knell that I'm aware of. It does require a bit of thorough exploration that has you up against a chimera and then a wight. So be sure to be strong and have a strong party to face up against those two challenges.

I threw Sigurd off the cliff during dragon fight. Revived him at the Morgue, gave him 5 Goblin Horns for affinity and BOOM: got the maister, just like with Lennart.

I found his house and talk to him and didn’t receive the Warriors. Scroll so I did his escort mission went back to his house he wasn’t there and then I read that if I saved, went to the title screen and then reloaded it could fix it and thankfully that worked for me so if anyone has that problem with him disappearing go to the house save go to the titlescreen and just reload your save hopefully that helps

I made all the progress on the dragon quest, but I didn't receive the "Soldiers Code" from the NPC "Lennart"... He already left Melve and is there at the lighthouse, and yet he didn't even give me a tome of skills.. Anyone Do you know how to get it?

I cant remember where I found it but I found a second "The Nation's Death Knell" somewhere in the world. I have a theory about where but I have no meams to confirm it rn because I'm not even close to finishing the game. That aside i had two in my storage and that matters because there is a questline that you can complete by returning the grimoire from whence it came. There is a quest you can start at night in the ancient battleground that requires that book and the reward is a mystic spearhand weapon the Infernal Edge.

At any rate I have no recollection of where exactly I got the spellbook but I remember the first place in particular where I got grimoires as valuables and thats the waterfall cave near the beginning of the game. The cave is near one of the first campsites you'll run into. Its the quest where you leave Melve with a knight to make for the capital, and theres a little tent station where he mentions the oxcart was SUPPOSED to be and you start making your way to the capital on foot. In that cave there is an ornate chest that contains two grimoires and a lich type enemy. I distinctly remember this as I was only lvl 11 and was not equipped to fight the thing but ended up winning and finding some powerful thief daggers and mage robe for my level. Could someone confirm the grimoire can be found here? Otherwise I have NO idea where I found the other one.

Edit: also, I would return to this cave AFTER the knight leaves your company. When you find the oxcart you can deny his request to join them on the cart and go off on your own. When you return later the knights amd the cart will be in the same place so you can ride with them if you want. This is what I did, because I went to the cave before with the knights in tow and they died to the enemies in the cave causing something to happen with the MSQ, so I reverted to my last Inn save and learned a hard lesson for it.

I gave the guy all the books and he gave me a dress not the spell... did i miss something? Just finished the girls mission too for the mage skill and only got a staff? wtf
