Asking "will vini get benched?" Has to be a bad joke

Sad to see the end of Bellinggoal era since it reminds me of AC Milan's Kaka but seem like we gonna see why Bellingham is a top star Midfielder after this

As a Barcelona fan, I’m fucking terrified

I honestly can’t wait for Bellingham to play a bit deeper. As incredible as he is at the tip of the diamond, I honestly think it’s a waste. It wastes his ball carrying and powerful dribbling from deep areas. It wastes his technical ability as a passer. It wasted his defensive acumen. Bellingham has always been somewhere between a 6 an 8 and a 10 so playing him at LCM and giving him the freedom to drop in, bomb on, or stay in midfield is the best way to use him. Frightening team but god it’s exciting

Benzema drifted to the left his whole career. It actually complements the player on the left in context of Madrid. Madrid doesn’t function like most clubs. They play in narrow spaces with more focus on player relationships than strict systems. Unique.

Additionally Bellingham and valverde play these roles often already when Carlo changes the diamond.

The most terrifying thing about this lineup will be their bench. You think you’ve exhausted them when you’re 5-0 down but then Don Carlo puts in Arda Guler, Endrik, Kroos, Camavinga, Lunin, Brahim Diaz, Wow! Wow! Wow!

I found my FC24 team for sure.

A well done analysis, James.

This team is going to be a bomb. Imagine Camavinga, Ardar Guller, Endric, Lunin, tony kroos on the bench.

Kroos has had one of his best seasons as well. Imagine Kroos unleashing long balls to Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo and Endrick.

Top video James, but one counterpoint I will make is that Mbappe usually gravitates to that left hand side when in build up. It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things as Mbappe and Real Madrid can build up on either side but I don’t think Vini’s impact will hinder, if anything it’ll increase.

This is an excellent analysis. And the compliment comes from a Madridista who has been watching the club for half a century. I don't necessarily agree with everything but it is an excellent exploration of options for next year. Thanks for the great content.

The team depth will be INSANE the perfect starting 11 and the amazing subs they have (coming from a Barca fan)

They could also continue with the diamond. And drop rodrigo, and play camivinga. Then you have rodrigo and endrick as subs.

Arda Guler is a real jewel who would be proper organiser for all forwarders.

I think it's so crazy how Madrid have ask these players. I've been reading comments of different formations, and they all make sense. It's going to be hard to stop Madrid without injuries, especially in the CL with Carlo. I'm just going to enjoy them on EA FC while i can before I'm permanently scarred. 😅

I think with davies coming it its more likely that rodrego is dropped and then valverde starts on the rw but moves to a more midfield role as it shifts to a 4222 shape with davies almost making it a front 3 as he overlaps extremely high with the RB tucking In to make a 3 back so it would look like a 3223 / 3232

Endrick is comfortable playing the right hand side as well. I see it more likely that he's rotated with Rodrygo than anybody else. Especially whilst he's still developing physically, Endrick's best role is likely on the right hand side, cutting in on his left peg.

The Diamond Formation is definitely the one going forward. I don’t think people watch us enough or they would know that Rodrygo likes to switch to left to often despite him starting of on the right. You can easily see that on his heat map but thats not even the main problem he is to inconsistent to have a starting position on lock. Yes I understand he is not playing in his natural position but he never will at Madrid because of Vini. So many people are making line ups without camavinga or Kroos(if he extends) to accommodate a player that is to inconsistent. The Diamond Formation with Mbappe Vini and Jude behind them is the only way going forward. If their is a manager in world football that can make that formation work its Ancelotti.

What about a 4-2-1-3, double pivot with Camavinga/Tchoameni and Valverde, and Jude remaining higher up. It still kind of resemble their diamond formation, this time they have a striker
