Turkey is the only thing that is stopping WW3 at this very moment from this one decision. Finland becoming NATO allows them to put nukes right on Russia's doorstep. That aligns with their nuclear policy which poses as a existential threat. Which would be Finland. People need to sit down and actually think about the geopolitical situation that is evolving right now. This is serious. Also Turkey can't be thrown out of NATO since its the second largest military member and is a valuable strategic location for NATO. THINK FOR GOD SAKES.

Turkey as "one" member cannot and does not have any right (legal or not) to block Finland's and Sweden's) application for NATO membership. If NATO is based on democratic principjes, the Turkey's "one" vote cannot overrule the vote of many. Turkey is NOT the voice of NATO is it a collective voice. At the moment the Sweden/Finland thing is not that big of a deal. The Baltics have been in NATO for a while, and they didn't dare put missiles and bases there. If they put missiles in Finland its a war declaration by Russia's standards.

Turkey is playing both sides Nato and Russia at the same time. Erdogan is a friend to Putin and Russia but Turkey are also Nato members. Turkey has thru the years ordered military equipment from Russia. But now Turkey is providing large quantities of Turkish Bayrakter drones to Ukraine that are used to fight Russias military forces.
