That's a good way to think of it. I also like to think as them as a teammate rivalry between them alsol; hated enemy's when on opposite teams but when working together trying to outclass the other.

I've always imagined a bittersweet rivalry between the Spy and the Sniper.
They both consider themselves to have a certain class and professional expertise. They're competing to see who is the better man.

If you think about it, the whole game revolves around Blutarch and Redmond hiring 9 mercenaries in order to control over the others land until one of them owns the whole world. I always thought that the the Spy and the Sniper are the only ones that really make sense as a mercenary.

i like to think theyre very opposite job's that draws them to have the best rivalry, the sniper takes the longest range to fight, where as the spy likes it up close n personel with a knife in the back :P

The sniper's theme was a re-orchastraited version of the "Magnum Force Theme". So technically this IS it.

It's actually the title theme from Magnum Force - same composer, Lalo Schifrin. The theme from the TF2 promos is a tribute; this is the original music.

This is actually the theme from Magnum Force...Though similar to the Sniper's theme, there are a severe number of rather distinct differences in the songs, not to mention it's played on a rather different set of instruments.

@woOt5000 It's a cop's theme and has that 70's feeling and also as well is like adding La Crimosa as a wrestler's theme song and "ride of the Valkyries" as a theme song for another video game character.

Oh yeah fellas stop bloody quoting the same thing over and over even on dirty harry's theme video!!
