Awesome! Thanks for the tips on heating. I’m on central coast NSW and have started a small collection of males in seperate tanks. The water temp now is starting to dip below 22 so need a heating solution before it gets too much cooler. At the moment I have small heaters in a few but of course need more as my collection grows. Awesome vid! Do you even have protein film build up on the top due to no water movement? That seems to be my main problem.

I love your videos, very informative and explained perfectly. I have a question - I spawned my bettas 4 days ago I’ve had some some issues in the process. Everything went great at first, male and female spawned and produced many eggs, fry hatched within 24-48 hours. On day 3 my male didn’t seem to have any interest in guarding the bubble nest, and the number of fry I sighted was close to none (I had only seen 2 wiggle away from the nest). I theorise he had eaten most of them for reasons I’m uncertain of. I removed him immediately, and it’s now day 4 and I’m not seeing many fry (I’ve sighted the odd fry here and there at the surface of the water) however I’m unsure if maybe this is just due to their size and my tub being a 60 litre black tub which will make it much harder to spot them unless they’re at the top. My question is; If fry was present at the bottom of the tub, would I spot them this early on, or would they camouflage in with the black tub? Thank you greatly. :)
