I was asked by a local teacher to create an Algebra course that quickly reviewed all the key knowledge required. This course is centered around showing how to solve Algebra problems. For best results copy down the problem, watch me solve it, and then solve it on your own.

In this first video I'll cover everything you should already know before learning Algebra. I explain Number Classification, Working with Signed Numbers, Fractions, Exponents, Order of Operations and more. The goal is to get you ready to learn Algebra as quickly as possible.

I'll upload a new video every day and in a few days you will learn everything you need to know to master Algebra! In upcoming videos I'll cover Solving Equations, Solving Inequalities, Graphing, Systems of Equations, Quadratic Equations, Matrices, Polynomials, Functions, Rational Equations and so much more.

Error Correction for this Video

At 17:42 I listed that 3² = 27, when I meant to have it be 9. The corrected problem solution is
2x * 3² * (x²)² * (y³)² = (2x)(9)(x⁴)(y^6) = 18x^5y^6

22/7 is rational. The digit srquence 142857 repeats. Rational by definition means a number that is the ratio of two integers; i.e., a/b, where a and b are both integers and b is nonzero.

irrational numbers CANNOT be represented as a quotient of two whole numbers. Therefore the example at 5:13 with 22/7 is not correct;)

I love your cheat cheat like rundown of the basics. It's Hard to understand everything if you hear about it for the first time but as this can be watched over and over and the fact that you always suggest to write stuff down plus basically teaching the best tricks to get it done (i.e. just multiply the denominator by the scalar and add the numerator to get the imperfect rational number, which I must admit, never thought that way) makes you one of my favorite references on YouTube. So amazing. The thumbnail of this video 1.5 years ago would have looked like absolute gibberish to me. However, now that I am about to start Calculus 2, it literally looks like the ABCs. Hope this comment helps anyone who might be struggling. You can definitely learn this. Just takes a little time!
