Clear pots are awesome, but seeing you grow these plants out instead of cutting them up to make money and showing us the true potential of these great plants is fantastic. Keep the info coming. we appreciate it more than you know. THANKS!!!!

Though this video is a year old, your tips are awesome. It's a recap of knowledge from my favourite plant YouTuber 🌿🧚🌿

We (India) don't have see through pots so i use cheap see through plastic storage containers, they do the job well and are available at many more size options!!

Clear pots is something I’ve recently done! Not only do I like the aesthetic but I love being able to see the roots! And it looks beautiful!!

Just recently I repotted ALL of my plants into clear pots. I live in Germany and here we get them in all sizes from 6cm up to 21cm in any garden center. They are sold as orchid pots but are just regular nursery pots. I switched my plants from soil to a non-organic mix (DIY "Pon" but chunkier) and it's really easy to see the moisture level of the minerals as well as root growth.

I buy orchid pots from the local nursery or Amazon. I then pop them in a opaque cover pot because the roots grow better in the dark.

Great tips video. Thanks.
I just found clear containers at the Dollar Tree here in the U.S.
I'll use a soldering iron to make holes in them. $1.25 each and they are nice and thick. Multiple sizes to choose from. Saving money for more plants!!

My tip for the hobby is to source the ugly discounted plants and try to make it thrive. If it does, bonus! If not, it was cheap and I experimented and learnt!

Have a nice trip! I have never been on an airplane...or to the hope you have a nice time and see you when you get the clear have a feeling big stores will start carrying them since all us would like to grow our plants in them! I did 2 days of repotting with new soil mix! I could only find lava rock but it did work just fine....so thanks for suggesting any lava rock if we can't find pumice :)...the new mix already I am loving....ok thanks again....

Clear pots was probably the single most important thing I did that made my plants super happy! I mean, made me be able to care for them in a way that made them happy! I switched over a year or so ago and never looked back! I can’t do pots if they are not see through. I will find something to make a pot if it doesn’t come in the size I need gallon jugs, acrylic ice /drink buckets(?) from party stores, bulk containers for like pretzels or cheese balls 😂. I use a soldering iron to make holes and melt the rim to soften the cut. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very informative video. I began using clear pots for my seedlings and bare roots. I will probably transfer to a decorative pot with drainage as a point of preference whenever I repot. Thanks for the insight.

If any of your viewers happens to live in Switzerland: Landi has fantastic transparent pots that hold up pretty well. They also carry orchid bark, that's useless for most epiphytic orchids (other than some in the oncidium alliance), but brilliant for aroids when mixed with perlite, which they have too.
