In this video continue building our LCoE model adding a Battery System (BESS) to the existing Solar PV power plant. We will create a more detailed model, calculating the LCoE for the PV only, Levelized Cost of Storage (LCoS), and the blended LCOE (PV + Storage).

very nice. Please tell me how do you determine BESS capacity for the PV installation ? Is there a standard formula ?

For example Where you calculate the "total" BESS OPEX NPV of the sum of the 3 NPVs (638, 535 + 702, 289 + 35, 474) as 1, 376, 398. This is a different result to running the NPV calc on the total line of Capex (97, 000), which gives you an NPV of 1, 438, 336.
I assumed they would be the same, but they are not. Can you explain why they would not match?

PV to BESS Energy is 13500 MWh/Yr i.e., about 37 MWh/daily. The BESS capacity is only 9 MWh which means every day about 4 cycles are required to satisfy the numbers. Is my understanding correct?
