Neither of these for me. Higher lofted fairway woods, 7 and 9, have been amazing additions to my bag.

Helpful video! Kind of reinforced why I think I'm gravitating more toward longer irons that I used to not be able to hit. My swing is more efficient and actually feels slower, though I think I've gained a lot of club head speed with it.

AND the bottom line for me... if I put a draw or a fade in my swing, I want to see it on the ball. There are a ton of greens you can avoid trees and traps and roll onto the green easily if you can fade or draw the ball. Just follow the shape of the hole.

I definitely prefer the long iron over a hybrid. I've never really found a hybrid I could hit better than my long irons.

What if you used a super game improvement iron for long shots like the Halo XL.

I hit my hybrid the same way I hit my driver. SIDEWAYS! I am very tall, strong, and athletic and tend to hit my long irons much further than most golfers. I replaced my hybrids with a 3 and 2 iron. Drop an average of 2 shots on average. Now if only I could put.

I'm in this predicament at the moment after getting fit and dropping the 4 iron due to the drop off of the gap. I just don't know if to go for a 4 hybrid or 7 wood (around the 21 -22 degree). I then have a 17 degree hybrid (we don't get on very well) so I'm thinking of swapping it out for an 18 degree 5 wood. Any thoughts. Looking at the Cleveland Launcher range, particularly because the hybrids have that bigger head. Golf is hard.

I can't get on with a hybrid, I'd much rather hit irons all the way as it's a consistent feel through the bag.
