I'm back! Today we are looking at this $13 NEC Versa LX laptop I bought off of eBay for $13. It's old, very rough around the edges but it surprisingly works! Join me on my journey to discover just how capable a laptop from 1999 is :)

My mom got me this laptop when I was about 5 (in 2004) for playing computer games and using paint 😂and I remember at the time, thinking how amazing and useful the laptop was. I still have it, I think it was a 2000 version though, but it looks exactly the same as this one!

Just for the sake of info:

NEC is a Japanese company mostly well known for info technology locally.

Basically, they are the ones responsible for wifi, mobile network, and such in Japan.

Making gadgets aren't their main focus, but they do make good ass laptops like the LaVie.

Also, my dad works there so there's that.
