Anak Agung Ary's charming sculpture depicts a Balinese ceremony that pays respect to the shared characteristics of both God and man. After he finishes painting each statue, Anak strips some of the paint away to reveal his base color, creating an “antiqued” look, which he then completes by sprinkling a powder over the fresh paint to mute the colors, enhancing the vintage look and feel.
