So this is a so-called celebration. Shame about the hundreds of crimes committed, the drugs everywhere, the litter and the problems faced by residents who had to board up their houses and often leave for a week. And the cost of way over £12 million in policing alone. That is a subsidy of over £12 of public money per person attending just to try to keep civil order. What a terrible society we have these days.

The notting hill carnival is the biggest in europe . Over a million people attended it . The majority went for the super costumes food music and floats. . However a minority, the gangs and troublemakers go their for the violence . A bit like the english football fans in the 1980s . The majority went for the football .
