Both SAT and ACT Math include a HARD Math Concept of Quadratic Identities. If you want away from your SAT or ACT test without having used those identities at least once, I am pretty sure you did something wrong on your test.

If you want more practice with these problems for your SAT. digital SAT and ACT, please get in touch with me on IG (sebersonmethod) and consider joining my SAT Help Membership.

It is a lot easier
If the upper part and one of the answers are identical, then they have the same numbers for x that make the equation go to zero. You can easily see what those numbers are in the answers. A is 2 and -2, B is -4, 2 and -2, C is only 2 and D is only 4.. If you fill in 4 you will realise that it doesn't go to 0. So you can already say that D and B are impossible.
You only have even exponents so it doesn't matter whether you put 2 or -2, both make the equation zero so that's why it is answer A. This takes not even 30 seconds and has less change that you make a mistake.

Btw this proves the fact that the American system is easy because I am from Belgium making this easily at 16
