I noticed how Lewis was looking at Ari when she sang. He looked disgusted and judgey, looked around, visibly upset that everyone else was giving her props, then changed his tune so as not to be obvious. However he couldnt help his snide "little turbulance" after that before ending it with "thats good though." This tells me he's not a good person. He clearly had a problem with her being a "white" girl (she seems obviously hispanic). And I do agree he was wrong for jumping on her for saying MLK, when:

1. MLK is influential. He literally has a whole day named after him; he's given all the props.
2. He's from US history
3. He was in the last 100 years of US history, unlike Jesus and Lincoln.
4. It was opinion based
5. Sure he wasnt by any means the first, which she admitted she got wrong
6. If youre going to get upset at her for saying hes the first, you better be able to name who is actually the first. Or at least ANYONE else. Or even be able to say "He wasnt the first. I dont know who was but hes not it."
7. Lewis should have just shut up after that first outburst.

And for Lewis and those who agree with his sexist comment about 14 year old girls vs 14 year old boys driving:

1. You are upholding stereotypical and misogynist viewpoints. Male or female, you should raise your children to be trustworthy, respectful, brave, and honest. If you think you'd be able to trust a son more than a daughter, that means you did not do your job as a parent. If you can't trust your daughter to run errands, hang out with friends responsibly, and not get into trouble, that is your failure. If your argument is that its not safe for girls out there, then newsflash, its not safe for boys either. Boys still get kidnapped. Boys are still graped. Boys are still killed. And odds are, it'll be by men who weren't raised right either. Saying it's safer for boys is just another way of saying you don't care about your child because they're male. Also, just a reminder that having a teenage son who got a girl pregnant is the same as having a teenage daughter who got pregnant. Either way that failure is on you.❤
