Looking great man!! So I decided on amazon sword, Java fern, and dwarf grass I believe it was called. Are these plants easy to deal with?

can you recommend a type of HOB filter that has an on/off switch on the top? every time i want to turn the filter off i have to dive down under the tank stand to unplug. A PAIN. i like to unplug the filter when i feed; makes it easier for my betta. i have it on the slowest flow and still too strong. i would LOVE an on/off switch on a filter!!

i have a betta in my community tank with a gourami and lots of tetras, platys and guppies. no aggression. i dont believe people who tell you do NOT keep bettas with any other fish. hogwash
