My 100 yo house has real shiplap! YEAH! After installing extra windows, I'm trying to explain to my contractor (gently) the steps to preserve, reuse and simplify the step to install the original shiplap so it's used as an inner wall. Please help me understand and explain how?

Looks excellent! I want to do this to my living room. Question: Do exterior walls require a moisture barrier before putting shiplap directly over studs? Thanks

I quit watching this once you installed the first piece of shiplap.
You never said one word about leveling your first piece, or cutting boards to special areas of interest ... i.e. windows, electrical outlets, etc.
Anyone can show a sped up video of someone slapping up boards willy-nilly, and do it without instructions. That's not why people look for videos to do the job right, with a professional look.

Cutting insulation with a putty knife? So unprofessional i cant believe you showed that. Pick up a cheap insulation cutting knife or use a handsaw atleast.
I came here to learn to instal shiplap but im leaving before the first board is put up because now, im wondering about all the other corners your cutting .
