This is a great all around machine. It's the perfect Big Welder for any level and its a great value. The great thing about this machine is I can tig weld aluminum vs using a spool gun on the mig welder. These AC/DC machines can cost upward of $3K. The video will show you how easy it is to get started in tig welding. We try to keep things as entertaining as possible on the Spicer Designs Channel. There will be more of these videos to come, so make sure you subscribe so you can follow along. Thanks for watching!

LOL!! I’m not certain that everyone understands how much planning, effort and editing it takes to make videos the way that you do. I appreciate it a lot….. For a “shy guy” you sure can crack me up!

A tip for the gas. Usually your CFH comes from your cup size. Generally CFH = 2.5x your cup. So you used a number 6 cup equals 15 CFH. Too much gas is a bad thing.

Also, if you’re right handed, try using your left foot for your pedal. Seems weird but an old timer told me that years ago. It works.

Another thing. You want to get that puddle going within a couple of seconds. That’s why your weld is gray. Get a fast puddle and go. Tig isn’t as slow as people think.

Overall, not bad for a beginner.

I need to get a welder and learn to weld, but I watch a lot of content creators to see their style. Easy to see that you put a lot of effort into these infotainment videos. Good job. Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!

Super solid start for your first beads

1) maintain a short arc length! Approximately the distance from the work piece as of your tungsten 3/32 or less! Any longer or higher and affect multiple things i.e. shielding gas flow (gray oxidation) keep a tight arc focuses the heat on the work.

Keep up the good work and burn some rod

I'd rather watch you Kyle than most sitcoms. Your humor is much better. Not that I watch them. Love the ART work! Your shop build out is getting quite impressive. Some great things will be coming out of there.

I’m not sure I am coordinated enough to run a foot pedal.
You should get Keystone Girl to run the pedal while you weld. Team weld….
Now that would be funny.

I liked this video on the ArcCaptain. It makes me want to get one. Including the foot pedal.

Thank you for the content I always look forward to what you have to up load. Your TIG welds are pretty good for a beginner and it’s commendable to see you showcase your welds here where the trolls will always look for something you do wrong. Feeding the filler rod is just something you have to practice over and over to keep it controlled. I couldn’t tell you how many times I stuck it to the electrode.

I never wore a glove holding fill rod. Makes it easier to feed. If I was doing a short weld/stitch, I might not wear glove holding torch, unless the torch was getting fairly warm. Usually used a Miller stl 150 or 161.

I'd say nice welds. That's something I need to work on, tig. I've only tried it a couple times. Again Great content 👌!

Hey Kyle, thanks for showing us how a beginner can just pick up welding and go. Welding has been on my "I'd like list" for a while, might just jump into it next year! Also, people being all up in arms about you crushing equipment?? Really?? That is so out of character for you.... hahahaha! Cheers, Alex.

Arc captain been sending these to a lot of creators lately, seem to
have good reviews.I used to buy all different tungsten, now I just use LaYZr 3/32 for everything, steel aluminum, stainless. My tip is practice, then practice some more then when your comfortable with it, keep practicing. get some weld coupons.
