I think the XR the most, or even the only iPhone used to make these fakes. I’ve only seen people do these mods using iPhone XRs!

I remember when a customer got into my shop and he was complaining about how slow his iPhone 13 pro max and when I hold it, I swear it was almost like the real deal because the weight was heavy and the material were made of real Stainless steel but then I checked the battery settings and turns out it's running android system! 😅

The dude got scammed for $1000 because he bought the phone from Germany and my shop is in Turkey so the scammer got away just like that :')

That’s why I don’t even bother buying a used phone from Facebook marketplace anymore. There’s just so many fakes out there and they’re really good.

Biggest difference between that fake iPhone 16 is that the back is a little bit to dark (saying this as I have the iPhone 16 in
That color) but that is VERY believable.

Before buying, turn on the iPhone and check the notch / the Dynamic Island, or the edges of the screen. I’ve never seen an iPhone 16 with notch lol

Make sure the seller has their phone fully functional, go over to settings, general and copy the IMEI into Apples support app, it should pop up as the phone they are selling, plus it gives you the history of the phone and it flags potential issues as a reason for an appointment, for example if it flags the back glass it can probably mean the phone has been tampered with

Another thing I will have to watch out for, I see so many listings on eBay for iPhone 16 for like $200, where it could be an iPhone XR, why would I want an iPhone XR when I have an 11
