Imagine if you had immediate access to remedies without needing to make a trip to the grocery store, or wait for prescriptions to be filled with a price that was more than you preferred to pay, or if you could just reduce your reliance on all of the synthetics found in store-bought stuff just to treat common ailments? Well, you can and the 'how' isn't new--it's just been forgotten among marketing and modernization. In this video I'll show you how to start a simple medicinal apothecary everyone in your family will enjoy, how to create syrups, capsules and tinctures that are excellent for treating colds, coughs and the flu, and how an apothecary will help you create a foundation for nourishing your body naturally.

Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing how I’ve set up a simple home pharmacy to treat common ailments and how you can too! Enjoy! ❤

Hello again. I want you to know that you have made an impact on my life. As I suffer through another series of colds and allergies, this is a timely episode. My Mother and Grandmother always used various herbs and oils for healing. These jewels of love and wisdom that they left almost skipped another generation. Thank you for all that you do.

I make Mary’s Nest elderberry syrup, and with the cooked elderberries, rose hips, and hibiscus, after straining it, I put it into ice cube trays and freeze them, and use them for an extra cup of tea either hot or cold. There’s a lot of flavor left in those spent herbs, and it’s a good way to stretch it to get more out of it before putting it into the compost pile.

I started my apothecary/ pharmacy a year or so ago and have totally switched from coffee to herbal and medicinal tea. Never felt better. Having an herbalist daughter is a huge help also! Love all of your videos but this one was especially nice❤️

I’ve farmed for years but this was the first year I forged herbs. Super fun. I have at least 10 quart jars of either home grown or forged herbs from this year.. so thankful to God for providing these natural healers❤

I put my elderberry syrup in smaller glass mason jars & put them in the freezer that way I can take 1 out when we have colds to use instead of having to use it up in 12 weeks

Love the video and it's great to see so many interested in this topic, but if I do a video on medicinal herbs and remedies, I get a strike and warning about my channel getting banned. I don't understand.

My Nana used to give us what she called balm of Gilead buds that was steeped in alcohol for coughs and chest congestion. I found out that it has many other medicinal uses. I also believe it is actually the Cottonwood blossom or a close relation to it. This may be something else you can add to your apothecary.

Love, Love, Love the tea combinations!! 2 yrs ago I dehydrated Lemon and orange slices, and they are still delicious today! I put them in my teas but with this video you just added a next level inspiration to my pantry! Thanks Cassandra! I can't wait to add dehydrated seasonal fruit to my already tasty citrus slices! 🥰🥰

Where do you acquire all your herbs? Do you make your own recipes? This is very interesting. There’s a lot to learn here. Thank you for sharing.

I love Prince of Peace Ginger Tea. It is great both hot and cold. Ginger lemonade is a must try! I usually make a syrup/concentrate from the packets, citric acid and a lot of sugar/honey/agave

Thanks for sharing! I love your apothecary cabinet and those fruit teas! I've been slowly but surely building my own personal apothecary based on my needs and its really been helping a lot. Recently I'd made a chamomile lavender salve using the infused oil I'd made a while ago and finally got around to doing something with it. Glad I did because I burned myself cooking and then applied the salve after cooling it down with some water. A few hours later I noticed I had no pain whatsoever and same for the next day.
