He trains in another city (Taganrog), because he's currently in major conflict with the national federation. He's still part of national team though.

The HW they have currently has a higher total then both of them. They only have so many athletes they can take to international contests I believe.

Yeah Koklyaev's situation was pretty ugly, and I'm sure Klokov would not want to discuss this, as that shit happened under Rigert as head coach.

The best similar example in history would be Alexeyev, who had MAJOR issues with the Soviet federation back then. He went a bit crazy with his conspiracy theories though (his getting poisoned, etc). Akkaev and Alexeyev are definitely much alike, in their fierce independence and very fiery tempers.
