Used to live here in the 70s, in Linden Terrace most recently. Ottawa has changed a lot but still looks wonderful.

Visit there in the summer about every year (from Raleigh, NC area). Last time I was visiting I got to shake hands with the Prime Minister so that was pretty cool. Ottawa is a great city. Not too big so a good mix of city and nature. Recent best cities of the world list had Raleigh #2 and Ottawa #13 so pretty close in quality of life.

I would say a boat ride from Ottawa River going up the locks and then on the Rideau Canal is also fun to have done it before ! 😉👍
