Healing Appalachia's mission is to produce events that help connect and grow communities of recovery and healing in Appalachia, raising funds and awareness to combat opioid addiction through a wide array of projects and programs from youth prevention, healthy lifestyles and wellness to recovery houses and recovery to work. Like Farm Aid does to raise awareness and funds for America’s small, sustainable family farms, we want to bring together folks to raise funds and awareness to celebrate recovery through our main event Healing Appalachia each September, and work year-round on more projects fostering communities of recovery.

My wife and I play this while bathing our 4 month old daughter every night and she always has the biggest smile while we sing along. Makes me teary eyed.

Jesus Christ is our savior, he died on the Cross for our sins. Putting your faith in Him is the only way to get to Heaven when you die🙏✝️

This song holds profound significance for me, embodying two pivotal moments in my life. The first, a joyous occasion, was when I married my husband amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee in 2020—a memory cherished for its sheer beauty and love.

The second, tinged with sorrow, was when I received the heartbreaking news of my father's passing on Earth Day, 2024. As we solemnly drove to lay him to rest, the song played just as we turned into the cemetery, as if guided by divine timing. In that moment, amidst my grief, I felt my father's presence envelop me, his love echoing through the lyrics, reassuring me that he'll never leave without expressing his love.
He told my 3 y.o. son, Husband and I that he loved us that Sunday night, and tomorrow never came for us to see my Father again or hear his voice once more. ♡

Though his physical presence may be gone, his love remains a steadfast presence in my life. Every time those familiar lyrics resound, they serve as a bittersweet reminder of his enduring love and the indelible mark he left on my heart, my siblings and especially his wife of 49 years our mother, Vicky. Please pray for her to continue to be stong.

I find solace in knowing that he's finally free from pain and suffering, but the ache of his absence lingers. Yet, amidst the grief, there's a glimmer of comfort knowing that he'll always be with me, watching over me like a guardian angel.

Thank you S.G Goodman and Tyler Childers.

I love you, Glenn D. Leahy—forever your little girl.

This song scratches some itch n my brain I didn’t know I had until I heard it. That foot thumping type of scratch where your eyes rollback.

This song hits different for everyone. I lost my brother-my twin brother and best friend at 43yrs old quite unexpectedly to a heart attack back in April and this song killed me. We’ve never said “I love you” because we never needed to, and although I don’t feel like I missed an important opportunity to, nor do I regret not saying it, if I could see him one more time I would.
I love you, Jimmy ❤💔
