"The square of the hippopotamus" I loved that

I chuckled a little because the letter Q is "kuu" in Finnish, and 'the moon' is "kuu" in Finnish.

He's like the Bob Ross of Mathematics!
Very nice to listen to his calming voice and enthusiasm. Please more of Mr. Ball!

I think some commentators from outside UK may not know that for many Brits, his is a voice from childhood. He was well loved for his kid's TV shows in the 70's and 80's. Hearing him again is lovely.

I love this guy! It’s like listening to a mathematical bedtime story!

When you see the beauty of this you sort of understand why people thought squaring the circle must be possible for so long.

His "isn't it" at the end is so adorable ❤️ bless him✨

The knowledge and information is always appreciated and interesting, but what really makes me smile with all these videos, is the complete and utter enthusiasm and happiness the participants display. It’s filled with people who love maths, and seem genuinely excited and eager to share it. :)

Johnny Ball, who introduced a generation of British kids to science and mathematics.... Nice to see his enthusiasm is still tuned up to 11 ...

I teach aesthetics. I've often struggled to explain to my students the beauty of math not in terms of any visual representation but purely the beauty in math itself. Mind blown by this… thank you for the example that I will use forever.

"And then he went absolutely looney"

Yep, he did...That was very elegant

Mind blown, how did I get through a year of university maths and 41 years of life without knowing you could generalise Pythagoras to any similar shapes?!

Also, love Johnny Ball, a true legend.

Haven't seen Johnny Ball since he presented the children's TV show "Think of a Number" many, many years ago! Love it!

This is a really neat tidbit of information that I will now store in the back of my head to either never use again or have it save my life one day
