I think your being generous about builders not being deceptive. Some may not be but I think there a lot of shady tactics taking place in the industry. There's way to much money involved for some not to get greedy. Just because it is legal doesn't make it ethical

Here in LA by the time you try and outbid the 10 other offers on the house you want, you look up and see you went 40k over asking and you might as well bought new construction. But even new construction here in la there’s a wait list, Southern California real estate is hell right now.
