Accessing boot menu on PC

When you power on the PC it goes through a sequence of boot devices, like HDD, DVD, USB or network. This sequence is determined within the BIOS settings of your PC. It's best to leave that as default in order to keep the start time to a minimum. If you want to start your PC from DVD or USB to for example install Windows, then you can access the boot menu.

So I have a Lenovo latitude e4300 series and it's f12 but when I press it it says preparing and then goes to screen where I need a password

When I enter the boot menu settings
There is no boot devices but there is boot menu option where I can just adjust the boot device priority.
How can I get the boot device menu please help

Or you can go in login screen and click both shift at a time and click restart but don't leave shifts then go in troubleshoot and click advanced options then go uefi then you can go in boot menu
