The video is great and I also love the deep explanations, but for future videos could you also show the stats by pressing C(Details) so we can know why there are some high differences in power surge damage (you're getting 2.9~3.1k per proc with no buffs and ur PS is 853, so your damage increased is around 703% in total which seems extremely high)

Since you did not respond I decided to run the math myself
PSI: 853
PSG DMG: -30+20+25+25 = 40%
STS DMG: 20+3.6+20+4.8+12+3.6+20+25 = 109%
EMT DMG: = 119.6%
Dmg ag Ne:6+4+10+10+8+6+6 = 50%
(no bulls-eye or fortress warfare nor deviation buffs and the same food buffs as the test at the very start of the video with full-stack armor buffs and stuff)
Formula: PSI/2 * PSG DMG * STS DMG * EMT DMG * Dmg ag Ne = 426.5*1.4*2.09*2.196*1.5 = 4110.7 (rounded to 4111)

So this video is legit and correct and if you are wondering why your damage is weaker it is probably due to low damage against normal enemies or you did not stack any armor stacks

Im still not sure how it was doing 4221 not 4111 but the difference isn't that great and it could be due to rounding during the equations

again this is a great video and please show the stats next time it makes so much qol and can help people understand why their damage is not reaching as high as shown in the video statistically

Idk maybe pin this so people can read this before they complain about their low dps output even though they were using the "same" loadout

I have all of these Mods with the right substats, Right Calibs and Gear sets but it's nowhere near the damage they put out. I don't know if it got nerfed or you guys are just gaslighting me.

Love your guide. Playing the SMG variant you previously posted and it is amazing. At the stage oif trying to get talent and status dmg rolls on all my mods (which is a nightmare) but overall the build slaps so hard! Love this variant which I may try on the new server when we get there.

Great build for alts i prefer Gaz Mask instead of googles for easy crit rate.
Overall 2 purple pieces isnt good if you arent starting the game. 1 star Yellow armor = 3 stars purple armor
Stats that change are HP and PSI which means on build using PSI yellow armor are even more valuable than on a build like Shrapnel for example.
Ofc 1 key purple item is acceptable (with maybe the exception of the torso) but at the end PSI damage adds up. While there s a difference of +2 PSI between a 3 star purple and 2 star yellow if you have 6 yellow items it makes +12 PSI or +24 PSI with 6 3 stars yellow item.

In the long run a 5 Stars purple items = 3 Star Yellow item (ofc we arent at 6 Star yet), but there will be a total difference of +36 PSI on a full yellow build vs a full purple build. (There s ofc also HP to take in consideration, especially with all the % HP buff there is in the game)
Definitely not a problem for now but investing too may Stars in Purple items might be an error in the long run, 3 stars is kind of okay going up to 5 stars might be a waste (except for a key item that).

Overall, the recent videos are great - but I do think they could benefit from something. At the end of the video, would love to see a PVP Gear/Mod and PVE Gear Mod recommendation. Since they would be different and would be interesting to see how you change legendary armor sets for each function.

on pants and top i disagree. There are other options, that will give u similar bonuses as a blue mod (depending on the sub stats) plus the main perk on top, which can make life just a wee bit more comfy (like rejuvinating - talents).
Also basic weapon dmg is allways better then weakspot, since it will allways be benefitial while weakspot dmg is useless against enemies, who dont have weakspots or weakspots, that are hard to hit reliably. So a deadshot-talents mod for the pants for example is situational weaker, but offers more easy of life for general game play.
I know the try-hards will disagree, but this is a casuals opinion ;)

I do around 65-95k dps rn without buffs our builds are pretty similar I enjoy the surge a lot

I feel like there was a recent hidden patch for Mayfly Googles, it went from reducing Power Surge DMG bonus to probably reducing Power Surge Final DMG Bonus or a straight-up just multiplying 0.7 on the equation
Could you possibly check if this is true and see if there was any reduction on the build?

I think thunderclap is actually bugged coz it says after 20 stacks of PS a lightning strike(not original name) occurs WITH NO INDICATED COOLDOWN so by paper it should procs every 21st PS procs but I noticed that my thunder clap only procs about 2 times(usually) and 3 times(when I am lucky) per mag given I have 35 shots per mag using outerspace. I start noticing that the stacks get stuck at 20 for quite some time then procs like 10-15 shot late when it should have proc-ed on time

edit: 5-10 shots late, I actually over exaggerated

Outsider is a great alternative for those who don’t have the power surge smg! This would be good for early to mid game until you get the outer space which does significantly more dmg. Currently at the moment not built all the way in phase 4 I am doing 1m damage in less then 4 mags using only the outer space. Devs thought they nerfed powersurge but they actually buffed it😤😤

Also great video. But for thunderclap you want to be using thunderclap with a powersurge affix not talents. This will significantly boost the power surge damage by a lot.

I did 3.2m damage at prime war yesterday which was double the best persons highest that was using a fully built shrap set

I dont understand, I have the same gear, same calibration, and same mods. maybe with a little bit less elem/status dmg, and my procs did 1400 dmg instead of 4k in your video. did they nerf it or I miss something ?

Do you think 21% calibration blueprint would be good for my socr right now? I have one element 7.9 and one crit 9%. That calibration has element and 21% crit rate.

Hi Mawn, I just saw Doomeris' PVE weapon tier list, and something about what he said about Mr.Squid made something click, but I don't have the necessary mods and starchrom to build around it. Are you able to make and showcase a PVE Mr.Squid that is viable with the currently avialable buffed cradle perks for it?

idrk what to do i already made the little jaws build u had(which is great i love it) but idk if i should make a whole other build like fast gunner or if i should make a power surge build considering i alr have the armor and alot in the mods department

i dont get nearly that amount of dmg, i get max 28k with 820psi, 332dmg, 20 crit rate, 27 c dmg, 52 elm dmg, surge trigger bonus 30 dmg 2, 4
