Mom of Slain Delphi Teen Says She Was Shocked by Arrest

The mother of a teen who was slain in the "Down the Hill" murder case spoke exclusively to Inside Edition. Carrie Timmons, mother of Libby German, says she was in shock about the surprise arrest in the killings. Indiana CVS worker Richard Allen was charged with murdering her 13-year-old daughter and Libby's best friend Abby Williams. Timmons says she always suspected the killer had links to Delphi.

My son was her age when she was murdered. I think about all the things he's been able to do and accomplish in the last almost 6 years, and it's just so sad she never got to do those things. I really hope they have their man, and these baby girls finally get justice.

This case is so haunting for so many reasons. Mainly because it reminds us that the "bogeyman" is never that far behind. For me on a personal level my friends and I grew up on Long Island but our street was right at the edge of town so all of our backyards were basically part of the woods that then led to a parkway. We played in those woods for many years. We claimed those woods as ours. To think back that some person could of easily preyed upon us scares me to death. We had a few weird encounters with strange people there but we didn't care about being "rude" we would run off (while laughing hysterically) 😂 at the sight of seeing another adult there. Like I tell my daughter now days, do not care about being "rude" if an adult seems out of place or makes you feel creepy the hell out of there. Trust your gut. Please don't tell your kids they HAVE TO be polite to every adult because sometimes kids can sense things better than us adults. Never force an adult friend onto your child.

What you just witnessed is a human being going through the greatest horror any human being can go through. I hope the evidence is good, , , as she deserves at least something resembling closure. My sister was found dead on the side of the road one Christmas Day. Trust me, the heartbreak never goes away….
