They were yapping it up at our place last night. I usually just put a few rounds in the hillside, they do understand what that means. Now foxes, not so much. But I’m an amazing shot when I’m mad because they killed one of my birds.
We have a young cougar running around too.
It’s still safer than the city. 😊

In the past few years upstate NY reintroduced coyotes into the area. We live in a forested area and our local pack just did this less than a week ago. I wondered if they made a large kill or something because the crying was much different than their usual late night howling...

I live in a quiet subdivision at the very edge of the city limits, but my backyard borders on thick woods and a few nights ago I recorded the coyotes kicking up a fuss. Really close, even closer and louder than this!

They do this a lot where I live. They can make some very strange noises.

I'll tell that at the beginning that's not a coyote then you hear the pack crap themselves and run. They came across something they thought they could fight and got told to get and move on.
